Charles Lin Ming Khin

Managing Director

Charles, the founding Director heads two teams of lawyers specialized and dedicated to medico-dento-legal defence work at Charles Lin LLC.  The firm is also one of two firms in Singapore actively involved in defending Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners at disciplinary inquiries and against civil claims.

With nearly 30 years of experience under his belt, Charles has been widely regarded in the medico-dento-legal industry for his experience and knowledge.  In 2018, Charles was invited by the Law Society of Singapore to provide valued opinion and responses to legislative changes to the High Court and State Courts’ Protocol on medico legal claims. 

Charles is one of the very few lawyers in Singapore who has successfully obtained acquittals at Singapore Medical Council Inquiries.  He has also been involved in landmark medical cases in the Court of Three Judges of the High Court of Singapore.

Apart from his medico-dento-legal work, Charles has also assisted and advised clients on complex and corporate and contractual matters such as: -

• Employment agreements for professionals and C-suites

• Acquisitions of medical and dental clinics in Singapore and in China

• Cross border transactions including forestry contracts in Papua New Guinea

• Oil exploration and investment contracts for Kazakhstan

• Distribution agreements for media contents including broadcast rights for Free Terrestrial TV, Pay TV, IPTV in Malaysia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Brunei and the Philippines

• Negotiating contracts for satellite broadcast for ultra-high definition channels for Europe

• Corporate structuring and drafting of corporate agreements for startups

Charles is an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court in Singapore, and a Barrister-at-Law of the Middle Temple.  Charles is also a Notary Public and a Commissioner for Oaths accredited by the Singapore Academy of Law.  He is an Independent Director of a dental group in China listed on the Stock Exchange of Singapore. 

Tracia Lim Wan Ting

Associate

Tracia graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Nottingham in 2013.  She proceeded to pursue a Master of Laws in Information Technology and Intellectual Property Law from the University of Hong Kong in 2014.  She was admitted to the Singapore Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor in 2016.

Tracia’s areas of practice covers medico-dento-legal defence, corporate agreements, corporate structuring, trusts and estates, and real estate.

Tracia has assisted in the medico-legal defence of Medical Council inquiries, High Court trials and appeals before the Court of Three Judges.  Tracia has also assisted Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners in professional inquires before the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board.

Tracia has also advised and assisted clients in the following matters: -

• Merger and acquisitions of medical clinics

• Due diligence for acquisitions of dental clinics

• Employment contracts and service provider agreements for professionals and C-suites

• Restructuring of companies

• Settling of family trusts for asset protection
